The ability to forget is a characteristic that humans have. One that is both a blessing and a curse. Especially in our relationships.
While forgetting wrongs and letting them go can be a good thing, forgetting good times and the good things our friends and partners do is completely bad. It breeds ingratitude.
It’s human to forget. Totally human.
But if we keep allowing that human part of us to prevail completely, we will rob ourselves of good things.
So, since the ability to forget is a double edged sword, how about you choose what to forget and what not to?
This is why I birthed this journal. To foster the spirit of love and gratitude in our relationships.
So, here you go, use this journal to document the great and significant things your partner or people in your life do for you and the ways you hope to reciprocate that act of love. Not as an act of competition on who does more.
But to encourage remembering the good things, amplifying them over the bad, and reciprocating them for a sweeter and stronger relationship.
You can use the journal to write your prayers too!
Let all that I am praise the Lord ; may I never forget the good things he does for me. Psalms 103:2 NLT
