God wants to have an intimate relationship with you.

Currently listening to “I’d do it again by Tasha Cobbs”,

Song of Solomon 4:9

ESV:
You have captivated my heart, my sister, my bride; you have captivated my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace.

An average Christian is taught at home (and sometimes church) that God is a big scary creature in the sky that watches you to nail you immediately you sin. Most of us grew up believing that God is far away in heaven and the presence of God is our local church.

We were always told “Jesus loves you” but we never believed it in the real sense because most of those who told us didn’t know this “love” themselves.

We were told that God wants to have a relationship with us. It was made to seem like this relationship is different from the relationship we have with people but this isn’t entirely true.

We were told that the church is the bride of Christ. But what is the church? The building or the people?

What is the role of a bride and how does the husband love her?

We have been distanced from God long enough. The Holy Spirit is correcting wrong teachings and doctrines. He’s bringing men to Himself.

God wants to be your “boo” and “bae”.

The greatest joy of a husband is companionship with his bride.

God desires a relationship with you. He wants to love you intimately. He wants to take care of you and care for you. He wants to be the one you tell everything to. He wants to be the lover of your soul and your best friend. He wants to share life’s moments with you.

God thinks you’re beautiful. God loves the sound of your voice.

He has totally fallen in love with you and wants to hold you and heal your wounds.

It hurts God to see you go about your life with no regard to Him whatsoever asides one or two religious prayer here and there. God hates religion and ritual.

I urge you to begin to seek God earnestly.

Chase after Him like your life depends on it because it does.

Empty yourself in worship and reverence to God. Pour out your life as a drink offering to Him. Get rid of distractions and focus on Him. Be in one place and tabernacle with Him. Consciously pursue His presence. Tell Him how much you love and need Him.

Let Him know His love is acknowledged and appreciated.

Let Him know His sacrifice was not in vain.

Set a time for Him daily. Just to be with Him, pour out your heart to him and listen to Him.

No relationship can thrive on distance and lack of communication. You must spend time with your beloved and be in constant communication with Him.

Let His heart knit with yours and His heartbeat against yours.

Yes. God wants to love you intimately like that. Your very own body can host the presence and glory of God.

Listen closely and you’ll hear Him calling out to you, reaching for you, pulling you to Himself.

Wondering why God is so interested in you? You really have nothing to offer him in the real sense. He made you and can replace you anytime. So why would He be so ravished by mare man?

Love.

Love is the answer.

Psalm 63:1AMP:
O God, You are my God, earnestly will I seek You; my inner self thirsts for You, my flesh longs and is faint for You, in a dry and weary land where no water is.

Ask for a passion, thirst and hunger for God that never dies.

When passion dies in a marriage, the marriage also dies.

Someone told me a story of a couple whose marriage was falling. The wife had a disease that made her unattractive to her husband so the husband filed for a divorce and wanted to leave his wife immediately. The wife pleaded that she be given 3 months first. In this 3 months, the husband would do literally everything for her. This included bathing her, cooking for her and even carrying her in his arms wherever she wanted to go. The husband grudgingly agreed and it began.

He took her everywhere, bathed her, cooked for her, fed her and did everything for her.

At first, it was burdensome and the man kept complaining about how “heavy” his wife is and how tired he was of everything.

But as days went by, she “became lighter and lighter” and carrying her became easier.

Days turned into weeks and weeks into months and he soon began to see the young girl he had fallen in love with and married in his sick wife. Intimacy deepened, passion was restored and he nurtured his wife back to health. The husband went to the court himself and said he was no longer interested in the divorce.

Nothing was wrong in the first place, passion just left.

This is a call to intimacy.

If you’re becoming lukewarm or cold, the solution is simple; spend sometime with God!

Ask that He rekindles a blazing fire for Him in you. Let Him be all that you think of.

God is calling you to the secret place. Don’t say No.
